HyperOptimal Terms of Service Last updated: July 14, 2026 Contact: team@hyperoptimal.com Summary These terms govern your use of HyperOptimal, a private web and native app for habits, planning, OKRs, hour logs, accountability groups, and subscriptions. Eligibility and Accounts You must be able to form a binding agreement and comply with these terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, the security of your sign-in credentials, and all activity under your account. Subscription Access HyperOptimal may require an active free trial or paid subscription for core app access. Current organization subscriptions are sold through Stripe Checkout on the HyperOptimal website in monthly or yearly billing cycles. An eligible new organization subscription includes one seven-day free trial for up to five selected licensed people, including the owner, and requires a payment method. Selecting more than five people starts paid billing immediately after an exact warning and confirmation. If a free trial is offered, it converts to the selected paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends. Stripe handles billing, renewals, cancellation, refunds, and payment method issues under its policies. Managing Subscriptions You can manage or cancel the current organization subscription through Stripe billing on the HyperOptimal website. Installed apps show subscription status but do not initiate or manage payment. Acceptable Use You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to access another user's data, bypass subscription access controls, upload illegal or harmful content, harass others, send spam, abuse accountability messaging, reverse engineer the service, or interfere with app infrastructure. Accountability Groups and Messaging You may share accountability group invites only with people you have a legitimate reason to contact. Recurring accountability updates go to accepted group members according to their notification preferences, and members can unsubscribe. You are responsible for using accountability features respectfully and lawfully. User Content You retain ownership of habits, tasks, OKRs, hour log entries, and other content you add to the app. You grant us the limited permission needed to host, process, display, transmit, and back up that content to operate the app and provide accountability features. No Professional Advice The app is for personal productivity, planning, and accountability. It does not provide medical, mental health, fitness, legal, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for your decisions and for seeking professional advice where appropriate. Account Deletion You can request account deletion in Settings. Deletion removes or anonymizes user-owned app data and removes notification eligibility. Some information may remain where retention is required for security, legal compliance, backups, fraud prevention, transaction records, or dispute handling. Service Changes and Availability The app may change over time. We may add, remove, limit, or modify features as needed for reliability, safety, App Store compliance, or product development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Termination We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the app, create risk for other users or accountability friends, or if required by law or platform rules. You may stop using the app at any time and may delete your account from Settings. Disclaimers The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill arising from your use of the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you. App Store Terms When you use the iOS app, your purchase and download may also be governed by Apple Media Services terms and App Store rules. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for this app except as required by applicable law. Changes We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use of the app after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
